Continuing to build on the Jeep brand’s legendary off-road capability, the all-new 2011 Grand Cherokee adds premium on-road performance to complete the package.

The all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s premium SÚV on-road manners and legendary Jeep ruggedness is achieved with more than 5,400 welds in the body alone. Torsional stiffness is 146 percent more than the current Grand Cherokee and stiffer than the BMW X5 and Toyota Highlander for improved durability and reduced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH).

Jeep has provided confirmation that the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 will be arriving this summer. Official details have yet to be announced but as Chrysler previewed last year, a bigger, beefier version of the current 6.1-liter HEMI engine is expected. This engine could be enlarged to 6.4-liters and is expected to generate more than 500hp, possibly as high as the BMW M SUVs’ 555hp figure. This much power, when combined with the new 2011 Grand Cherokee’s improved chassis, could just be enough for it to regain the top spot in the juiced-up SUV segment.

This truck won’t be complying with CAFÉ standards but since sales will be limited, Jeep might find this endeavor worthwhile. The truck could be seen as a practical alternative to the German and English alternatives if it is given a proper suspension setup and if it gets sufficient features.

Yes, yes, yes; we have another teaser! To be honest though, I’ll have to give a few points to Chrysler Group for not attempting to tease us in the usual sketch followed by a “cryptic, front or rear end pic” way. Instead they decided to skip the last part and go the “Youtube” way, releasing a video through their journalist blog, which will surely draw much more attention.

Our friends over at Jalopnik took the liberty of downloading the 31 sec video thus, sparing us a few precious minutes of our time to capture some pics. Accompanied by the rhythms of tribal drums, we not only get the chance to see several teaser pics of the Chrysler Nassau & Jeep Trailhawk concepts but we also get a teaser taste of African dancers. 2006 SEMA Show: Jeep Patriot

Built by Chrysler Tech Center Vehicle Build Shops, the SEMA Show Patriot features a custom roof rack with auxiliary lights and a custom steel bumper which, according to Jeep, is designed to protect the front end while allowing for as much tire exposure as possible. Talking about rubber, this Partiot gets 31" BFG Mud Terrain tires on 16'' Jeep Moab rims supplied by Prime Wheel which actually look quite good on it. 2008 Jeep Liberty / Cherokee

Jeep seems to be going for "baby Commander" looks for it's next generation Liberty (Cherokee in Europe) SUV, according to a gallery of spy shots shown at the Allpar site. Based on the Dodge Nitro platform, the 2008 Liberty /Cherokee will most probably retain it's predecessors' top of the class, off-roading capabilities.

Let's just hope that this time, the folks over at DaimlerChrysler will try to get a bit closer to the Mercedes part of the family when it comes to the interior quality... via : Jalopnik & Allpar

Here at Carscoop we love witty car commercials and I think Jeep has began the add race add with a head start judging from its first 30 sec TV spot for the 2007 Jeep Wrangler 2d & 4d Unlimited, called Lizard. • Lizard opens on a lizard running across the desert floor. It sees the old Jeep Wrangler, faces off against it, then expands himself and hisses to try and scare away the Wrangler. The Wrangler, unfazed, suddenly expands and changes into the all-new Jeep Wrangler and scares off the lizard.
