2008 Nissan 350Z – New 313Hp 3.5 V6 & minor styling changes

I know it sounds somewhat strange since it was facelifted just a few months ago but fact is that the 350Z has been updated once again! Although Nissan hasn’t given us any facts yet, they previewed it “silently” at the LA Auto Show. We found out about it from Autoblog who posted a few pics and verified it at Freshalloy, a member of whom posted additional images from the LA Show. As for us, we got our hands on a half a dozen of pics (middle row) and Nissan’s official press release on the 2007 model (scroll down).

So what’s new here? Well first and most importantly the new engine, as Nissan replaced the recently revised 300 Hp 3.5 V6 (from 280 Hp) with their brand new VQ35HR, 3.5 V6 motor, which produces 313 Hp in 365 Nm of torque –though we ought to be careful with those numbers as they may differ in the Euro / US version. According to the information revealed in the tech pics, the 2007 350Z is 0,2 sec faster in the 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) sprint in comparison with the current model which means it needs 5,6 sec.

Press Release: The 2007 Nissan 350Z is scheduled to go on sale in January 2007. The changes for the new model year will include new exterior colors, a new gray colored convertible top (Roadster models), Active Head Restraints and performance enhancements including a new VQ35HR engine.

The 2007 350Z will again be available in Coupe and Roadster body styles and in an array of models –four for the Coupe, including a Grand Touring model, and three for the Roadster (including the Grand Touring automatic transmission version). More information on the 2007 Nissan 350Z will be available at a later date. Pics via: Autoblog & Freshalloy
