I was blessed to receive a call two weeks ago that the talented actress Angela Bassett wanted to have her makeup done by me while she was in New Orleans hosting an event. The Moth and USA Networks held an event at Generation Hall last night; a mini storytelling tour...New York, Chicago, Denver and Seattle.
I was also asked to do makeup & hair on Actor Sendhil Ramamurthy of Covert Affairs. I worked with Sendhil earlier this year at Sundance Film Festival inside the EW/ L'OREAL Paris lounge. Because of the conflict of schedule I was only able to work with Angela only.
Becuase it was an intimate setting I wanted to keep the makeup look soft, and natural, but play up Angela flawless skin tone. So I used a lot of brown, bronze, and gold color paletttes.
