Mercedes-Benz USA's Sales Jump 10.8 Percent In October

Mercedes-Benz USA's sales figures for the month of October are in, and as was the case last month, things are looking lovely, with the U.S. segment moving 22,820 new vehicles - an increase of 10.8 percent over October 2006 (20,598 new units). This figure brings MBUSA's ten-month year-to-date sales up to 203,085 new units, a 2.8 percent increase over the same period last year (197,599 new units).

As for the models making headlines, the onslaught of C-Class advertising has helped the new model achieve sales of 7,646 new units, a 102 percent increase over October 2006 (3,784 new units). The CL was again last month's largest percentage gainer, with sales of the flagship coupe jumping 224.5 percent to 318 new units. And last but not least, Mercedes' three SUV models- the M-Class, GL-Class and G-Class - all posted strong gains, with the sport-utes noting increased sales of 6.2 percent, 13.9 percent and 155.0 percent, respectively.
