Serial Monogamy: How Many Series Are You Currently Reading?

Last week Amanda posed the following question over at Floor to Ceiling Books: How many series are you currently reading? I hemmed and hawed about it and wasn't going to post my list, but as I read others' lists, I started wondering about my exact number (I ballparked it at sixteen in the comments), so I finally decided to do my own post, if only to have a list of them to refer to. I was kind of shocked that I reached 39! And that's discounting the Pern series, the Discworld novels and the Deverry books, which are series I all started, but which contain so many books that it would make this post huge.

Apart from the three mentioned above, I haven't included any series I'm not planning to finish. Although those are few. I'm pretty faithful, once I start a series I'll mostly finish it, even if it might take a few years for me to get back to it. I did included those series whose first books I've already bought, but haven't started yet.
